Who am I? What do I do?
This is me
I am Steven Howard Hoskins (ah hem SHH Design, see what I did there), a creative web designer and developer amongst other things.
I enjoy being challenged with any project and am always as creative as possible whilst still writing semantic and web compliant code and having my websites accessible and user friendly.
I am one of those lucky few that thoroughly enjoy their job and am very passionate about it. I believe it is mainly because no challenge is ever the same in this industry and it is down to me as a web designer to create something different to what is already out there. In my opinion too many websites simply follow design trends, and end up interchangeable. I aim to make the clients site stand out from the crowd whilst still sticking to their cores and having their place in the industry.
I believe in making progressive enhancements but will always have graceful fallbacks in place even those for the dreaded IE6, yes we have to think of them too.
The process is never the same from one project to the next, but my approach is always the same to be experimental, usable and accessible.

Languages
I can develop in most typical languages uncluding XHTML, HTML5, CSS, CSS3, PHP(basic), Javascript(mainly jQuery), Actionscript, SVN. -

Software
I can use most typically used software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Eclipse, Dreamweaver, Flash. I also have some experience in using After Effects, Premier Pro, InDesign, Quark, Corel and hey I am a quick learner and will give anything a go!

Keep up to speed
I am always trying out new practises and techniques such as this very site you are on, using lots of html5 and css3 techniques but with those all important graceful fallbacks in place. - 04
Production
I can design and build websites, web applications, flash games, flash sites and intros, I am also skilled in graphic design, typography and pretty much anything you can think of, just ask.
